Tabernacle in the Motherhouse chapel

The Ursuline Sisters gathered at the Motherhouse in Canfield, Ohio for
the annual community retreat on Monday, June 20. Father Michael
Woost, a priest from the Diocese of Cleveland, and a professor at the
seminary in Cleveland lead the retreat.
The theme of the retreat was based on the Year of the Eucharist. The
title of the retreat, Being Eucharist: A People Taken, Blessed,
Broken, Given, gave the sisters an opportunity to pray together,
reflect on the modern mystics and contemplate the celebration of the
Eucharistic liturgy as part of daily prayer.

Sisters Miriam and Mary William
Father Woost used an icon of the Trinity as a visual during the retreat
and incorporated the image into the setting for the Eucharistic
celebration on Saturday morning.

I hear my love.
See how he comes leaping the mountains, bounding the hills. See where he
stands behind our wall. He looks through the window, he peers through the
lattices.
Song of Songs 2:8-9

Community gathers for the closing liturgy in the chapel
The Ursuline Sisters renewed their vows during the closing Eucharistic
liturgy. The vows represent how they have been living the
retreat's theme, Take, Bless, Break, Give, in
their lives.
In response to your call, O God, and in thanksgiving for your love and
faithfulness, I _________ renew my vows of chastity, poverty, and
obedience according to the Constitutions of the Ursuline Sisters of
Youngstown. Challenged by the Gospel to be sign of your Kingdom, I
will live simply in mutual charity with my sisters. I will serve the
church in the Spirit of Saint Angela through the institute's work of
Christian formation. May my life witness your love and fidelity to
the church. In the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the
Holy Spirit. Amen.
