Like Isabel, I too was baptized, received First Eucharist and was confirmed at the cathedral, attending the parish school (which my mother also attended!) for eight years before going on to UHS. That place at the corner of Wood and Elm Streets holds special significance for me as well, as I was ordained deacon and priest there. This past March , I had the fortune to converse with Isabel for a bit at lunch on the otherwise sad occasion of my mom's funeral. The kindness shown to my family, and to me personally, by Isabel and Fr. Keehner will never be forgotten. Ad multos annos, Sister! The tradition continues! Great article about a great woman of faith!
